FOR BEST RESULTS on the B’s
Why you need steady IODINE to eat your favorite foods safely and to reduce the thyroid damage and inflammation they can cause.
200 million Americans are dealing with HYPOTHROIDISM, 100 million suffer from CHRONIC PAIN and INFLAMMATION another 50 million suffer from GUT DYSBIOSIS. Few realize it could be from the foods they are eating. If health is a concern for you, it’s very important you prepare your foods in a way that will help your body, not hurt it.
DO NOT EAT the following food RAW if you are pregnant, have thyroid problems, gut issues, muscle and joint pain or any inflammatory condition.
Avoid raw goitrogenic produce (containing Isothiocyanate an iodine blocker) unless steamed, cooked or boiled for 25 minutes. 3 small portions per week max of raw uncooked goitrogenic produce is allowed with steady iodine supplementation.
Foods Containing High Amounts of Isothiocyanate: Bok Choy, Broccoli, Brussels sprouts, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Collard, Mustard and Turnip greens, Kale, Kohlrabi, Rutabaga, Watercress, Cassava/Yuca /Manioc
Foods Containing Small Amounts of Isothiocyanate: Spinach, Strawberries, Sweet potatoes, Millet, Peaches, Peanuts, Pears, Pine nuts, Radishes, Bamboo shoots
It’s important to note that if you are healthy (no medications) and have normal thyroid function and consume adequate amounts of iodine, goitrogens will have no effect on your thyroid.
Avoid grains, beans and legumes containing inflammatory “leaky gut” causing Lectins. If you consume a diet with plenty of lectin-rich foods, reduce the amount by soaking, fermenting, sprouting and/or cooking.
Foods Containing The Most Lectins: Lima beans, Cashews, Peanuts, Sunflower seeds, Chia seeds, Pumpkin seeds, Kidney beans, Squash, Corn, Soybeans, Canola, Wheat (gluten is also goitrogenic), Quinoa, Lentils
Avoid Nightshades which can contain a chemical known as Solanine, which, according to experts, causes inflammation in the bronchial and gastrointestinal tracts. Solanine sensitivity can trigger asthma, gut inflammation, arthritis and brittle bones.
Nightshades That Contain Solanine: Tomatoes (all varieties, including tomatillos), Potatoes (all varieties, NOT sweet potatoes or yams), Eggplant (aubergine), Okra, Peppers (all varieties such as bell pepper, green & red peppers, chili peppers, paprika, etc.), Goji berries, Tomarillos (a plum-like fruit from Peru), Sorrel, Garden huckleberry & Blueberries (contain the alkaloids that induce inflammation), Gooseberries, Ground cherries, Pepino melon, Tobacco.
Black/white pepper and pepper corns are not Nightshades.

Avoid all Soy products: Most Soy products are made from genetically modified (GMO) soy beans sprayed with the thyroid/endocrine disrupting herbicide Glyphosate (Round Up.) Soy also contains the phytoestrogen (estrogen mimic) isoflavone which disrupts thyroid function and can lead to weight gain.
Avoid Dairy. Another common lectin is the A1 casein protein, found in most of today’s dairy cows. Most of the cows in the world are now inflammatory casein A1 producers. They make a lectin-like protein called casein A1, which is metabolized in our gut to make beta-casomorphin which can attach to the beta cell of the pancreas and incite an autoimmune attack on the pancreas.
Many cases of Type 1 juvenile diabetes are caused by the casein A1 in milk. Many people think they’re lactose intolerant or that milk gives them mucus, it’s actually the casein A1 lectin. Raw milk is great, as long as it came from the right cow. Some Jerseys cows are A1 and some are A2. All Holsteins cows are A1.
A2 Jersey Cow Casein is the normal protein in milk, besides whey. It’s present in sheep, goats and water buffalo milk. For best results drink organic goats’ milk and avoid dairy unless it’s organic or from A2 Jersey cows.
For best results on the B’s avoid Goitrogens, Lectins and Nightshades.
Safe Organic Vegetables: Yams, Zucchini, Pumpkin, Bitter Melon, Green Beans, Peas, Cucumbers, Asparagus, Artichoke, Carrots, Celery, Lettuce, Onions, Garlic, Chives, Leeks, Shallots
Safe Organic Fruit: Avocado, Banana, Plantain, Berries (except strawberries), Cherries, Citrus (Lemon, Lime, Grapefruit, Oranges, etc.), Melons, Pears, Apricots, Dragon fruit, Star fruit, Grapes, Guava, Kiwi, Lychee, Mango, Apples, Pineapple, Pomegranate, Coconut, Corolla
Safe Organic Nuts and Seeds – Organic Almonds, Pecans, Walnuts
Safe Organic Herbs – Organic Oregano, Basil, Thyme, Parsley, Cilantro
Safe Organic Fungi – Organic Mushrooms
Choose wisely – many popular foods can potentially cripple your thyroid, cause gut and bone pain or fill your body with plant estrogen compounds that wreck your female hormone balance and feminize males.

Another design problem has to do with inadequate control groups. To claim that a treatment had an effect, the group receiving the treatment needs to be compared to a group that does not. It’s possible, for example, that people receiving brain training improve on an assessment test just because they’ve already taken it – before and then again after training. Since the control group also takes the test twice, cognitive improvements based on practice effects can be ruled out.
